Main responsibilities

SMB Medical SA, part of the Marle Group and specialised in the manufacture of orthopaedic implants, is looking for a Production Quality Control Operator to strengthen our team and support our continued national and international growth.

  • Perform visual and instrumental inspections of produced components according to control plans and specifications
  • Use measurement instruments such as callipers, micrometres and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for component verification
  • Record and document measurement results in control reports or in the system
  • Monitor production stages and ensure quality standards and operating procedures are followed
  • Support production staff in meeting quality requirements
  • Identify and document non-conformances or defects during production
  • Implement immediate corrective actions and collaborate with production managers to optimise processes
  • Support root cause analysis and implementation of quality improvement measures
  • Create and maintain quality documentation in compliance with ISO 13485
  • Collect and analyse data to compile quality reports
  • Communicate inspection results to relevant departments and participate in internal meetings
  • Provide periodic training and support to the production team on quality requirements

Requirements

  • Technical diploma (e.g. industrial mechanics, mechanical engineering, production technology)
  • Previous experience in quality control, preferably in the medical technology sector
  • Good knowledge of metrology and experience with measurement instruments; familiarity with ISO 13485 is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and analytical skills to identify and resolve defects
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and preferably experience with ERP or QM systems
  • Full-time availability / 2 shifts

  • High sense of responsibility, reliability and precision in carrying out inspections
  • Ability to clearly communicate results and collaborate across departments
  • Team-working ability and willingness to support production staff
